In August 1978 I took a trip to Italy. Going through my vast archives of black and white negatives I came across of these almost forgotten treasures I took during my stay in Bolsena in Tuscany then.
In those days I used a Canon AE-1 and mostly Ilford films. Now I scanned them into my PC and did some restoring work, because some of the pictures had suffered over the years. Looking at these more than 34 years old photos for me has something special. I hope you can enjoy them as well.
The Villa de Vecchi dates from the middle of the 19th century. You can find it in Bindo, which is part of Cortenova in the North of Italy. It was built by the count De Vecchi. There are many legends told about that vast building, which is also called the „Red House“ or the „House of Witches“. After the death of the count the building began to fall into ruin, what is quite a shame. And still as you pass through the empty rooms you can hear whispering voices of days gone by. And still there is a certain beauty in tthat mansion left to decline and decay. I'd like to share this impression by the photos I took there. Enjoy...
Monschau is a small town in the western part of Germany near Aachen, It was mentioned first in 1198. Passing through the narrow streets you can find shops, cafés, restaurants all in old houses. Many tourists visit Monschau the whole year through. The historical flair is everywhere. Here are some imy very special mpressions of that lovely place. Enjoy...
La Chèze is a small place in the heart of Brittany in France. Every year at the end of August there is a festival called "Blues Au Château". This year for me it was the 4th time to be there. Of course you can find my impressions of the festival here as well, but this partly very colourful series is dedicated to the place itself. Have a look and enjoy.
Since I found out what great and funny things this little camera of my mobile phone is able to do and Italy presents itself again in the most beautiful colours, I decided to present a series of the best shots I'll take during my short stay here.
Just have a look and enjoy..(just click on the photo)...
